In an unexpected turn of events, an incident on the A10 motorway towards Savona caused significant traffic disruption between Albenga and Borghetto Santo Spirito. The incident, which occurred on Monday, involved a rear-end collision between two vehicles.

The driver of one of the vehicles suffered a medical emergency, leading to the collision. As a result, an ambulance from the 118 emergency service was promptly called to the scene. The 118 medical team worked diligently at the site, successfully restoring vital functions of the patient. However, the patient was transported to the emergency room in critical condition.

The incident resulted in a 5-kilometer backup in the direction of Savona, causing regular traffic to be affected. Many drivers, seeking an alternate route, exited the A10 and continued their journey on the Aurelia.

Firefighters and paramedics from the Albenga Cross responded to the incident, ensuring that the situation was handled with the utmost care and professionalism.

Despite extensive search efforts, the name of the patient involved in the traffic accident near Albenga who was transported to the hospital in critical condition remains undisclosed.
