Tragic traffic incident leaves Polish driver deceased
In a tragic incident, a traffic accident occurred on the L240 between Huxahl and Beckedorf at approximately 08:25 AM. The accident involved a 56-year-old driver of a Golf and a driver of a Tesla.
The Tesla, in an attempt to overtake on the stretch, collided sideways with the Golf. As a result, both vehicles left the road. The Tesla collided with a tree and caught fire, resulting in the death of the Tesla driver at the scene. The Golf veered off the road, flipped over, and landed on its roof in a field. The Golf driver was taken to a hospital with injuries.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Celle Police Station. The police have not released the name of the officer or the police station leading the investigation. The L240 was closed for accident investigation until late in the evening, with traffic being rerouted. There is no new information about the current status of the road. The accident vehicles, the Tesla and the Golf, were both a total loss due to the accident and fire.
