Train Conductor Episode: Unruly 33-year-old Male Passenger Spits and Abuses Train Staff, Lacking Ticket
In an unfortunate incident that took place on August 20, 2025, a 33-year-old man was apprehended at the Schoenebeck-Bad Salzelmen railway station in Magdeburg.
The incident began on a regional train from Schoenebeck-Bad Salzelmen to Salzwedel at 10:00, where the man was unable to present a valid ticket. Despite repeated attempts to travel without a ticket on the same day, the man was eventually identified.
The conductor asked the man to leave the train at Schoenebeck-Bad Salzelmen station, but the man refused. Instead, he insulted the conductor, hit her with a newspaper, and spat on her pants before leaving the station.
The incident was recorded, and a promptly informed patrol at Schoenebeck-Bad Salzelmen station noted the man's description. The man was later apprehended at the Schoenebeck station.
The man received a warning and was reported for fraud, insult, and assault by the Federal Police. His identity has been established, but he has not been publicly named.
