Tram Operator Assaulted by Motorcycle Enthusiast in Bremen
In an unexpected turn of events, a bike procession by supporters of German football club SV Werder Bremen ended in chaos, resulting in the assault of a tram driver near the Weser Stadium.
The procession, which began at Unisee around midday, saw around 600 fans setting off on their bikes towards the stadium. However, the peaceful event took a turn for the worse as the fans deviated from the agreed route, causing further incidents along the way, as reported by the police.
One of the most significant incidents occurred at the Sielwall intersection, where a minor traffic accident between a cyclist from the procession and a tram led to a shocking attack on the tram driver. After the driver exited the tram, he was assaulted by several participants of the bike procession. The police intervened, rescuing the driver using batons among other measures.

An 18-year-old is facing charges of insult, bodily injury, resistance against enforcement officers, and the 28-year-old from Essen is being held accountable for dangerous bodily injury and weapons law violations.
