Trump admits Epstein allegedly took women from Mar-a-Lago spa, stating that recruiting staff who work for him is wrong.
In a recent statement, President Trump discussed his relationship with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, focusing on allegations that Epstein took employees from Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Florida.
Trump claimed that Epstein took people who worked for him from Mar-a-Lago, stating that the story has been pretty well out there. However, it's important to note that there are no publicly available verified reports or evidence that individuals who worked for Donald Trump were hired and subsequently employed by Epstein during his stay at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club.
Trump's comments come after Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, worked as a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago. Giuffre, who went public with her accusations against Epstein in 2011, claimed that she had sex with the UK's Prince Andrew at the age of 17, which garnered global headlines.
Giuffre met Maxwell at Mar-a-Lago in 2000, when she was just 16. Maxwell offered Giuffre a job working for Epstein as a traveling masseuse. Trump stated that he booted Epstein from Mar-a-Lago because Epstein was taking his employees, and he also claimed that Epstein continued to take Trump's employees after being told not to, causing him to ask Epstein to leave again.
Trump's father-in-law, the late Robert S. Trump, was a maintenance manager at Mar-a-Lago, and Giuffre's father worked at the club as well. Trump has a great spa at Mar-a-Lago, one of the best spas in the world.
Epstein died in his Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019, while awaiting federal trial on sex trafficking charges. Giuffre took her own life in April of this year.
Trump made these statements about his falling out with Epstein on Tuesday. He stated that Giuffre had no complaints about her interactions with him and that she was one of the people Epstein took from Mar-a-Lago. Trump also claimed that Epstein used Trump's Mar-a-Lago club spa as a hunting ground for young women.
After making these statements, Trump flew back to Washington following a five-day trip to Scotland.
