Trump Heads Back to New York for Men's US Open Final, According to Insider Sources
The White House official has confirmed that President Donald Trump will attend the US Open men's final on Sunday. This will mark the former President's return to the tennis tournament since his last appearance in 2015.
The US Open, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments in tennis, will be held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York City. The UFC fight that was rumoured to take place on the White House lawn, however, remains unconfirmed.
In the US Open men's final, Carlos Alcaraz will compete. Unfortunately for American tennis fans, no American men will be present in the final. Taylor Fritz, the last American contender, was eliminated earlier in the tournament.
President Trump's attendance at the US Open is not a new phenomenon. Prior to 2015, he also attended the tournament in 2014, 2013, and 2010. The organisers have not revealed who specifically invited him to this year's final, but it is known that he is attending as a guest of a customer or client in a suite at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
President Trump is known for his enthusiasm for various sports events. He has previously attended UFC fights and Steelers games, and it seems that the US Open has also kept him interested. As the final approaches, tennis fans and spectators alike are eager to see how the event unfolds, with President Trump in attendance.
