Trumpfaces critique online for perceived 'petty' adjustments at the White House
Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, has been engaging in trolling behaviour towards President Trump, mirroring the unconventional changes happening within the White House.
In an unusual turn of events, US President Donald Trump has moved portraits of his predecessors, including Barack Obama and Joe Biden, to a hidden stairwell in the White House. The portraits of George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush have also been moved, with the images of Trump's assassination attempt and gold leaf additions to the Oval Office adding to the intrigue.
Twitter has been abuzz with reactions to these moves, with some commentators viewing Trump's actions as indicative of jealousy and resentment towards former presidents. Others describe him as small, vindictive, petty, insecure, and the antithesis of a man. Some even suggest that every decision made by Trump is motivated by hate.
The area where the portraits have been placed is on the landing entrance to the private residence, an area restricted to the president's family, security services, and a limited number of White House staff. The move has been mocked online, with some imagining 2028 reactions to Trump's ballroom in a powerful AI video.
Meanwhile, Trump continues to make major changes to the White House during his second term. He announced a gold ballroom costing $200m, and has paved over the Rose Garden.
In a separate incident, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has found herself in a bit of a pickle. She has fumbled a South Park clapback with two different responses, raising eyebrows and sparking discussions online.
As the days pass, the White House transformations under Trump's leadership continue to make headlines, leaving many to wonder what's next. Trump, however, maintains that he's not 'politicking' for the Peace Prize, despite Twitter's disagreement.
