The release of Jeffrey Epstein's commemorative birthday book has put United States President Donald Trump under scrutiny. The book, titled "The First Fifty Years," was compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's British accomplice and former girlfriend, for Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003.

The book includes handwritten notes from various individuals, one of which appears to be a conversation between Trump and Epstein. The alleged letter ends with a note from the President, reading, "A pal is a wonderful thing, Happy Birthday - and may everyday be another wonderful secret."

However, the White House has dismissed the drawing as fake and denied any alleged letter from the President. In a statement, they said, "President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it."

Notable figures, including former President Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and British ambassador to the U.S., Lord Peter Mandelson, are among those whose notes are included in the book. Lord Mandelson, who declared Epstein to be his "best pal" at the time, according to BBC reports, has since stated that he has long made it clear that he regrets being introduced to Epstein.

The birthday book was subpoenaed last month and was presented to the House Oversight Committee by the lawyers of Epstein's estate. The book also includes a drawing of a woman's body, allegedly from President Trump, which has added to the controversy.

Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021, further fuelling speculation about the relationships between the high-profile figures featured in the book and Epstein. The controversy surrounding the birthday book is likely to continue as more information comes to light.
