Twenty Japanese businesses collaborate with the creator of Hello Kitty to release shared NFTs
In an exciting development, a group of 22 prominent Japanese enterprises, including Nissan, NTT Docomo, Yamaha, Animoca Brands, Monex (owner of Japan's largest crypto exchange Coincheck), and more, have teamed up for a unique initiative. This collaboration, led by NTT Digital and Sanrio, in partnership with the "HAPIDANBUI" unit, is set to launch a joint NFT collection aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among the public.
The NFT collection, expected to be released soon, will feature six collectible characters based on popular Sanrio characters. Each character will act as a cheerleader for various health and wellness campaigns. The collaboration marks a significant step in the growing NFT market in Japan.
Unlike traditional NFTs, these tokens will not be tradable. Instead, they will be issued as soul bound tokens (SBTs), meaning they are unique to each participant and cannot be transferred or sold.
Each company involved in the project will launch playful missions to encourage healthy mental and physical habits. These missions come with collectible stamps or digital cards and chances to win prizes, adding an element of fun and engagement to the health and wellness initiatives.
The collaboration is part of a broader initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle among the public and is the latest in a series of efforts by companies to leverage NFT technology for social good.
