Udinese stunned Inter Milan with a 2-1 victory at the San Siro, handing the Nerazzurri their first home defeat of the season in a thrilling Serie A clash. The away team equalized just 12 minutes after Inter took an early lead, thanks to a handball by Denzel Dumfries in the area, which was penalized, and Keinan Davis converting from the spot.

Inter Milan started the match strongly, with Denzel Dumfries opening the scoring early on. However, Udinese held their ground and fought back, with Arthur Atta scoring five minutes before half-time to level the scores.

The second half was a tense affair, with Inter coming out firing, only for Federico Dimarco's goal to be ruled out for offside. Udinese managed to hold on, securing their first away win against Inter since 2017.

Kosta Runjaic, Udinese's head coach, praised his team's performance, stating that their intense preparation, detailed work, and focus on physical conditioning had paid off. He also highlighted the integration of new players and the team's overall improvement as key factors in their success.

Meanwhile, Inter find themselves already playing catch-up in the standings, with champions Napoli, Juventus, AS Roma, and promoted Cremonese all on points after two games. Under new manager Cristian Chivu, Inter are aiming to reclaim the Scudetto.

Despite the loss, Marcus Thuram believes Inter can overcome unfavourable situations by starting games as they did in the second half. He also had a chance to double Udinese's lead, but his shot was wide. Marcus Thuram also had a header over the bar from a Federico Dimarco cross in the second half.

Udinese manager Kosta Runjaic acknowledged that the second half was much more difficult for them, but praised their defense for staying focused and intense. The win moves Udinese on to four points, level with Inter, and they will be looking to build on this result in their next match.
