UFC Partners with Galaxy Macau for Expansion in Asia

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to host three UFC Fight Night events over the next four years at the Galaxy Arena in Macau, as part of a new partnership with Galaxy Macau. This move is seen as "massive for the sport" by UFC President Dana White.

The partnership aims to find new MMA fighters from across the Asia-Pacific region, building on UFC's successful 2024 event in Macau. COO Macau of Galaxy Entertainment Group, Kevin Kelley, is enthusiastic about the partnership, stating it reflects their ongoing support for the Macau government's vision to integrate tourism and sports.

UFC's Head of Asia, Kevin Chang, expressed excitement about the long-term partnership with Galaxy Macau, solidifying UFC's commitment to the region and its fans. The partnership builds on the success of previous seasons of Road to UFC, which have produced 18 athletes from the Asia-Pacific region.

The first event of the next season of Road to UFC will offer a pathway for fighters in the Asia-Pacific region to earn a UFC contract. MMA fans in Macau will now have the opportunity to witness top-tier action at home, while visitors can enjoy the city's rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment alongside unforgettable fight experiences.

Dana White added that the deal could not "have come at a better time." The move is part of UFC's rapid growth in Asia, following the sellout success of the most recent event in mainland China, UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Zhang in Shanghai, last month. White praised the culture, people, and athletes in China during his recent China trip.

The Galaxy Arena in Macau will host the events, with the first event of the next season of Road to UFC marking the start of this exciting new chapter for UFC in Asia. The partnership between UFC and Galaxy Macau aims to cultivate the next generation of MMA talent in Macau, further cementing UFC's position as the world's leading MMA organisation.
