UK-based vegan food brand Grubby resumes selling frozen ready meals originating from Allplants
Grubby Introduces Debut Frozen Meal Range
Grubby, the UK-based vegan meal kit startup, is set to expand its offerings with the launch of a new frozen ready meal range. This marks Grubby's first foray into the frozen meal space, and it promises to bring the convenience of quick, healthy, and delicious plant-based meals to busy, health-conscious urban professionals.
The line of nine products includes popular dishes like aubergine parmigiana, canellini bean mac and greens, and a spicy harissa and chickpea stew. Each meal is carefully crafted to be high in protein, fibre, and plant diversity, ensuring a nutritious and satisfying dining experience.
Grubby's new frozen meal range is a recreation of the original Allplants recipes, which the startup acquired the rights to earlier this year. The Mills siblings, the new owners of the rights to the recipes and production methods of Allplants, have merged the brand Allplants and their label Plants to bring these delicious meals to Grubby's customers.
The meals can be cooked in the microwave, oven, or pan in minutes, making them an ideal choice for those short on time. They can be added to existing Grubby meal kit subscriptions as extras, or purchased as a standalone frozen meal subscription.
Grubby's debut in the frozen meal market comes at an opportune time, as the startup has reported impressive growth in the past year. The company's one-year retention increased by 140% in the previous 12 months, and its year-to-date revenue growth was 21% in March. Moreover, Grubby's EBITDA improved by 56% year-on-year, indicating a strong financial performance.
With the new frozen meal range, Grubby aims to expand its product offerings to 15 products by the end of the year. The meals will begin shipping on August 22, and Allplants is set to launch its own frozen meal range on August 26. Each Allplants frozen meal is priced between £4.50 and £6, making them an affordable option for those seeking a healthier lifestyle.
Grubby's ultimate goal is to break even in 2026, a testament to the company's commitment to sustainable growth and providing high-quality plant-based meals to its customers. With its new frozen meal range, Grubby is poised to make a significant impact in the vegan food market and continue its impressive growth trajectory.
