UK release spotlights South African achievement narratives overseas

The "Winning the Away Game UK edition" is a global book series that celebrates the achievements of South Africans making an impact abroad, with a special focus on those thriving in the United Kingdom. This coffee table book, backed by The Lekker Network and Global Village Publishing (GVP), aims to showcase stories of perseverance, creativity, and ambition, sharing both professional success and personal journeys of South Africans who are proudly connected to their roots.

The project, which is the first in a 10-country series, features over 100 South Africans making their mark in various industries such as business, tech, finance, creative arts, science, sports, and innovation. Renier Lombard of The Lekker Network states that the project is about recognizing and celebrating the wins of South Africans in the UK, while Sven Boermeester, CEO of GVP, expresses a desire to tell the stories of South Africans who are flying the SA flag high. Daniel Esterhuyse, executive publisher, describes the project as a global stage for South African excellence.

The project team is calling for submissions from South Africans in the UK and those who know them. Interested individuals can contact Daniel by email at [email protected] for book purchases or resale. The focus of the project is to connect these achievers globally and share stories that inspire pride back home and show the world what South Africans are made of.

Copies of the book are available for pre-order only. Future editions will feature the Top 100 South Africans from other hubs, such as the USA, Australia, the UAE, and more. To submit a success story for consideration in this series, potential contributors might find submission guidelines on the official website of the publisher or the initiative's official platform, if one exists. Alternatively, you could search for the "Winning the Away Game UK edition" official website or social media pages for submission calls, or reach out to South African cultural organizations or networks that promote South African talent abroad.
