The Ukraine-Russia conflict continues to unfold, with several significant developments reported over the past day.

According to Ukrainian military blogger DeepState, most of the village of Saritschne in the Donetsk region is under Ukrainian control, with Russian troops pushed back to the outskirts. Meanwhile, Ukrainian border guards have reported no signs of military group formation on Belarusian territory that could pose a threat to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that within the past 24 hours, 910 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded. Since the beginning of the war, around 1,095,520 Russian soldiers have been reported killed or wounded.

In a massive Russian drone and missile attack on Ukraine overnight, at least 5 people were killed and 44 others injured. The Ukrainian military has since liberated Saritschne and raised the national flag there.

Russia has been denying involvement in attacks on the Cabinet of Ministers building in Kyiv. The Russian Defense Ministry claims to have hit drone facilities and air force bases in Ukraine instead. US President Donald Trump has expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, and US President's special envoy Keith Kellogg believes Russia has no intention of ending the Ukraine war diplomatically.

There are concerns that Russia is arming for a potential war with NATO. The Ukrainian military intelligence service reports that Russia is producing 2500 missiles, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and hypersonic missiles, possibly for a potential war with NATO by 2030.

On the diplomatic front, US President Donald Trump plans to meet with European political leaders to discuss a solution to the Ukraine war. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has stated that Germany will contribute its part to security guarantees for Ukraine in case of a ceasefire or a peace solution.

A notable event outside of the conflict was the discovery of the wreckage of an unarmed drone by Polish border guards in a village near the border with Belarus. The drone bore Cyrillic script.

Amidst these developments, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope for a decisive US reaction after the largest Russian air attack on Ukraine since the war began, while US President Donald Trump signaled his readiness to impose further sanctions on Russia.
