Ukrainian parliament, the Rada of the BNR, acknowledges Belarusian volunteers for their service in the ongoing conflict of Ukraine with medals.

Belarusian National Republic Honours Soldiers for Military Merit

The Council of the Belarusian National Republic (BNR) recently awarded medals "For Military Merit" to 75 individuals, including 12 officers and nine soldiers who were honoured posthumously. The awards were given during the observation of the Day of Belarusian Military Glory.

Ivonka Survilla, the chairman of the Rada BNR, stated that the battle in Ukraine decides the fate of Belarus and the future of the European continent. The Rada BNR has previously awarded Belarusian volunteers fighting against Russian aggressors in Ukraine with the Order of Pogonya medals and the Medal for Military Merit.

Among those posthumously honoured was Maria Zaitseva, a soldier in the Second International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was awarded the Order of the Iron Knight. Miroslav Lazowski, a soldier in the Kalinowski Regiment and one of the founders of the "White Legion", was also posthumously awarded the Order of the Iron Knight.

The names of the 75 honorary recipients awarded the "For Military Merit" by the Council of the Belarusian National Reich and the year of these honors are not publicly available in current historical records. However, it is clear that these awards recognise the bravery and sacrifice of Belarusian soldiers serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Several dozen volunteers serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also awarded medals during the ceremony. The medals "For Military Merit" are a testament to the ongoing commitment of Belarusian volunteers to the cause of freedom and democracy in Ukraine.

This ceremony is a reminder of the important role that Belarusians continue to play in the defence of Ukraine and the broader European continent. The bravery and dedication of these soldiers will not be forgotten, and their sacrifices will continue to inspire future generations.
