Unauthorized entry leads to BPOLI LUD's rejection

In the heart of Görlitz, a series of incidents involving unauthorised border crossings have come to light over the weekend. On Sunday morning, four third-country nationals were apprehended at the train station by the Federal Police.

The incident occurred on the Platz des 17. Juni, and the train involved in the incident was travelling from Zgorzelec to Görlitz. The four individuals, aged between 18 and 27, were noticed by a vigilant citizen and were handed over to the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf, responsible for handling the situation at the Görlitz train station.

The day before, on Saturday, a 27-year-old third-country national from Afghanistan was returned to Poland by the Federal Police following an unauthorised entry into the federal territory.

The situation in Pechern, a municipality of Krauschwitz, also came under the purview of the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf. On Saturday, an individual was apprehended there, and much suggests that in this case, the old town bridge was used for the later unauthorised border crossing.

The identities of the apprehended individuals remain unclear, with initial assumptions of them being from the Arab region proving incorrect. Three of the individuals were actually from Somalia, aged 18, 20, and 22, while the third was from Libya, aged 19.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf has not publicly specified a spokesperson for the press at this time. However, for inquiries, you can reach out to Michael Engler at 0 35 81 - 3626-6110, via email at [email protected], or visit their website at www.bundespolizei.de.

As these incidents highlight, border security continues to be a significant concern for authorities in Görlitz and beyond. The Federal Police have been actively returning several third-country nationals to Poland over the weekend due to unauthorised entries into the federal territory. The apprehension of two Egyptians, aged 21 and 32, at the Görlitz train station earlier this week adds to these ongoing efforts.
