Unlawful voting by a foreigner determined in the 2024 election of a crucial state, as per officials' assertions.

Unauthorized voting by a non-citizen reportedly occurred during the 2024 election in a pivotal state, according to law enforcement officials.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, is investigating over 100 potential noncitizens who allegedly cast at least 200 ballots in the 2020 and 2022 election cycles. One such individual, Naseef Bryan, a 34-year-old immigrant from Jamaica who is a permanent U.S. resident, is currently facing charges.

Bryan, who was living in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the time of the alleged illegal voting, is being charged with three counts of wrongful voting. He is scheduled for arraignment in August at the Ninth Circuit Court, Manchester District Division. If convicted, he could face between three and a half to seven years in New Hampshire State Prison and a fine of up to $4,000.

Bryan's case is not isolated. His arrest is one of several instances of concerns over noncitizens illegally voting across the country. In fact, Bryan is also accused of illegally voting in several elections, including the 2024 presidential primary and general elections.

Interestingly, Bryan has a history of legal battles. He has sued U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) twice, but the nature of his grievances remains unclear due to ambiguous filings. One filing against USCIS even references maritime law and requests relief in the form of gold coins.

The suspected illegal ballots in Texas were primarily found in Harris County, but investigations are also ongoing in Guadalupe, Cameron, and Eastland counties. The executive order signed by former President Trump in 2020 allowed the Department of Homeland Security to provide the SAVE Database to the states, making investigations like the one in Texas possible. This tool, enhanced during the Trump administration, allows election officials to check voters' citizenship status using limited personal information.

The Republican-backed law requiring proof of U.S. citizenship for voting in New Hampshire was passed in 2024 and took effect after the 2024 presidential election. This law could potentially prevent similar incidents in the future.

Meanwhile, in New Hampshire, the state has been under Republican control since 2021, with the party holding the governor's office and both chambers of the state legislature. The state saw Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke of New York raise alarms when she suggested in a resurfaced video that she needed immigrants for redistricting purposes.

In a separate development, Former Vice President Kamala Harris won the state of New Hampshire's electoral college votes in the 2024 presidential election. However, the focus remains on the ongoing investigations into illegal voting and the implications for future elections.

Trump has demanded a special prosecutor to investigate the "stolen" 2020 election and his loss to Biden, but this fact is not directly related to the main topic of this article.
