Uncovering Suitable Homes for Solitary Strollers, Timid Companions, and Loyal Family Animals

In the heart of Bavaria, the Munich Animal Shelter is making a difference, rescuing and caring for countless animals in need. Last year alone, they successfully found homes for 7077 animals, including 438 dogs, 769 cats, and 959 small animals.

Among the dogs seeking a forever home is Nik, a sensitive and shy cat who prefers a quiet and understanding environment, ideally without children. Experienced cat owners who can accept Nik as he is are the perfect match for this six-year-old feline. Due to his heart murmurs, which currently do not require treatment, Nik requires special food and supplements to support his kidney function.

For dog lovers, there's Funny, a playful and friendly mixed breed dog. Originally from Romania, Funny weighs 26.5 kg and stands at approximately 65 cm tall. She is curious, open, and very trusting towards her caregivers, showing tolerance towards other dogs. Funny needs exercise and stimulation, as well as adapted rest phases, and a visit to a good dog school is recommended for her basic training.

If you're looking for a canine companion who gets along well with other dogs, Hill might be the one for you. This mixed breed male dog, born in December 2024, is uncertain, reserved, and cautious towards his environment but shows playfulness, affection, and openness with his caregivers. Hill is a large dog, weighing approximately 19 kg and standing about 45 cm at the shoulder. He requires a quieter area, preferably with a family with steady children, where he can find his place as a loyal companion.

For small pet enthusiasts, Hamstburg, a gold hamster born in Munich's animal shelter, is available for adoption. Gold hamsters are nocturnal and should be kept alone. The minimum size for a gold hamster cage is 1.20 m x 60 cm x 60 cm, and it should include a second half-level, high-quality food, hay, a running wheel, and hiding places.

For more information about any of these wonderful animals, please visit the Munich Animal Shelter's website or call 089/921000128. Each of these animals deserves a loving home, and with your help, they can find it.
