Underdog University of Northern Colorado puts up a fierce fight, but Los Angeles Rams manage to eke out a win in a thrilling, close contest.

In a tense and thrilling game at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado, the Colorado State University football team managed to narrowly avoid the first upset by the University of Northern Colorado, winning 21-17.

The Rams, also known as the "Aggies" on Ag Day, were the favourites to win the matchup. However, an early lead by UNC in the first quarter, with a score of 7-0, put the home team under pressure.

The momentum of the game shifted in the third quarter when Rams' running back Lloyd Avant scored the team's first touchdown, closing the gap to 17-14. The Rams picked up momentum, with linebacker Owen Long recovering a fumble during the game, and quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi scoring a touchdown at the 11th hour.

Despite a penalty against CSU and a failed pass in the fourth quarter temporarily halting the team's momentum, the Rams fought back. A 2-minute timeout called by CSU with 1:56 remaining on the clock proved crucial, as fans wearing bright orange cheered the team on.

The Bears, determined to upset the Rams, recovered a fumble on Avant during the game, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. The student attendance for the game broke the record for Canvas Stadium.

Jay Norvell, the head coach of the Colorado State University football team, led the team to a narrow victory. Christa Swanson, a Digital Media Producer at Colorado in Denver, reported on the exciting game.

The Rams' bettors, who had expected the team to win by 34 points, may have been left on the edge of their seats, but the nail-biting finish made for an unforgettable Ag Day game.
