U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the White House on September 3rd, marking the third meeting between the two leaders. This visit follows Trump's invitation to Nawrocki just days after his swearing-in in August.

During their first White House visit in May, President Trump endorsed the conservative candidate in the Polish presidential election, which Nawrocki went on to win. The meeting included an Oval Office meeting and a private lunch, as it does this time around.

The discussion between the two leaders is expected to cover a range of topics, including the war in Ukraine, energy security, and Poland's security concerns. Experts predict that Trump would like to see Poland buy more U.S. weapons for its own use and to send to Ukraine.

Interestingly, President Trump ensured that President Nawrocki joined a phone call about Ukraine with European leaders instead of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. This move has sparked speculation about the evolving dynamics between the U.S., Poland, and Ukraine.

The lead-up to President Nawrocki's visit was marked by open conflict between the foreign ministry and the president's team. Despite this, the meeting proceeded as planned, indicating a resilience in the relationship between the two nations.

Notably, there is no high-ranking government official in President Nawrocki's delegation. This visit by President Nawrocki, who was invited during his presidential campaign in 2025 and supported by Trump, underscores the strong personal bond between the two leaders.

As the meeting progresses, both leaders are scheduled to have a discussion before the actual talks, setting the stage for what promises to be a significant exchange of views and strategies.
