Manchester United Secure Dramatic 3-2 Victory Over Burnley

Manchester United secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Burnley in a last-gasp drama at Old Trafford, marking Ruben Amorim's first win of the season.

The current first-choice goalkeeper for United, Altay Bayindir, replaced AndrΓ© Onana after the latter was no longer considered the number one goalkeeper by the club. Bayindir was signed from Royal Antwerp and agreed on a five-year contract to become the new starting goalie.

The game began with a series of first-half chances for United, but it was Burnley who took the lead in the 27th minute through an own goal by Josh Cullen. The second Burnley goal came from a corner that United failed to deal with, and Anthony's shot struck both Kobbie Mainoo and Bayindir on its way in.

However, United responded well, with Lyle Foster leveling the score 10 minutes into the second half. Bryan Mbeumo restored United's lead shortly after, but the team lacked composure and allowed Jaidon Anthony to level again before the late drama.

In the seventh minute of added time, Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty to secure a 3-2 win for United, much needed after a difficult week that included a shock penalty shootout loss to League Two Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.

Amorim expressed concern about the pressure his team is under at Manchester United and stated that everyone needs to improve, not just the goalkeepers. He believes that the team's defensive errors, such as not rotating the team when the ball is on the other side, are more to blame for the goals conceded rather than the goalkeepers.

Burnley manager Scott Parker took encouragement from his team's fighting spirit, but was frustrated by the decisions of the officials, particularly the awarding of the decisive penalty for United. Parker also mentioned a tussle between Kyle Walker and Mason Mount in the first half, which was reviewed by VAR but did not result in a penalty for Burnley.

Amorim faced questions about his future after the loss to Grimsby, but the victory over Burnley will surely provide some respite. The manager called his team "deserved winners" and praised their determination to come back from behind and secure the victory.
