Unlawful Entry at the Parish Office - Witness Manhunt Underway

The Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police are currently investigating a break-in that occurred at a parish center on Glescher Street, Bergheim-Paffendorf, between Sunday evening (3rd August) and Monday morning (4th August).

Unknown persons forcibly entered the parish office, with several signs of forced entry discovered at the main door and the door to the parish office. The intrusion led to the rummaging of several drawers, and cash was reportedly stolen.

The police department involved in the investigation is Criminal Investigation Department 21. The police have secured evidence and filed a criminal complaint, but no further details about the stolen money or the suspects have been disclosed.

In a separate incident, unknown perpetrators forcibly opened the door of a storage hall in Bergheim-Paffendorf and stole various electronic devices. The identities of these suspects remain unknown, and the police investigations are ongoing.
