Unlawful Incidents: Multiple instances of impaired driving in open areas reported by PDKH

In the late hours of last night, the Bad Kreuznach Police Department was kept busy responding to multiple incidents involving alcohol consumption.

The first incident occurred at around 23:53 PM on the B41 near Waldböckelheim, where the police received a report of a recklessly driven car. The driver, a 41-year-old from the Mainz-Bingen district, was eventually stopped in Weinsheim. A breathalyzer test revealed a high reading of 2.31 per mille, leading to the man being prohibited from continuing his journey.

Around 2:53 AM, the police were notified of a man with facial injuries in the area of the Neufelder Weg in Bad Kreuznach. Further investigations revealed that the man, a 45-year-old resident of Bad Kreuznach, had been riding an e-scooter and had presumably fallen due to alcohol consumption. He was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment by the emergency services. A breathalyzer test showed a reading of 1.75 per mille for the 45-year-old man.

Another incident occurred at around 3:08 AM, where a 28-year-old car driver was stopped in the Salinenstraße. The man's breath alcohol level was found to be significantly high at 1.55 per mille.

The ongoing investigations for driving under the influence (§316 StGB) will involve the revocation of their driver's licenses. At this time, there are no specific reports from the last 24 hours about individuals in Bad Kreuznach having their driver's license confiscated following an alcohol control.
