The Gillamoos festival, one of the largest and oldest folk festivals in Lower Bavaria, recently concluded after five days of celebration. However, the event was not without its share of incidents.

On the first day of the festival, early in the morning, a 40-year-old man struck a 23-year-old man in the face, causing minor injuries. Both men were under the influence of alcohol. Several police officers were required to handle the situation before the men left the festival grounds.

Later on Friday, an investigation into deliberate bodily harm was initiated against a 30-year-old who headbutted a security guard at the festival after being issued an eviction order. The 30-year-old, who has not been named or identified in the available sources, was also responsible for the altercation.

Several other cases of bodily harm were reported throughout the festival. On Saturday night, a 26-year-old, under the influence of alcohol, threw a flowerpot through a festival tent, striking a 22-year-old in the head. He was issued a festival ban and an investigation into bodily harm was initiated.

An 18-year-old, slightly intoxicated, insulted two police officers on Saturday night, and an investigation has been initiated against her for her actions. On the same night, a 16-year-old was found with a knuckleduster, and she will have to face a procedure for violating the weapons law.

Aggressive behaviour towards the police was also reported at the festival. Incidents of this nature have been noted, although no specific details have been provided.

Several patrons were also issued with eviction orders during the festival, with two 34-year-old men being issued eviction orders in the early hours of Sunday for aggressively treating security personnel.

Due to a severe weather warning, thousands of visitors had to leave the festival grounds on Thursday. Despite these incidents, the festival continued to attract large crowds, showcasing traditional Bavarian music, food, and culture.

The police have been kept busy dealing with these incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of the festival-goers. The Gillamoos festival organisers have not yet issued a statement regarding the incidents that occurred during the event.
