Düsseldorf Restaurant Week Returns with Sofishticated Culinary Journey

The Düsseldorf gastronomy scene is set to dazzle food lovers once again as the city's Restaurant Week, themed "Sofishticated", returns from September 9 to 15. Nine participating restaurants will offer their signature dishes, inviting diners on a culinary journey through the city.

Organized by the Düsseldorf Marketing & Tourismus GmbH, the event aims to showcase the city's diverse culinary offerings and introduce gastro-fans to new restaurants, products, and cooking styles in their neighbourhood. This year's participants include Berens am Kai, Brasserie Stadthaus, Estía, Karl's, La Turka, Phoenix Restaurant Bar im Dreischeibenhaus, the Oberkasseler institution Sassafrass, Williams, and Zweigleisig.

Each restaurant will offer a unique menu for the week, with the number of courses and price varying. Menus will be priced at either 19.49 or 79 euros, available for lunch and dinner throughout the week.

At Karl's, diners can enjoy a ceviche of sturgeon with caviar, confit garlic, and lemon. Brasserie Stadthaus will serve a black cod with pumpkin, spinach, and beech mushroom. Phoenix promises ray wings with pine nuts, artichoke, tomato, and fregola sarda. Williams will offer a duet of Loup de Mer and octopus with salsify and apple-salsify ragout.

The Restaurant Week "Stadtmenu" is not a new concept in Germany. It was first introduced in Berlin and has since been successfully implemented in Hamburg. This year, it makes its debut in Düsseldorf, aiming to invite a culinary journey through the city and showcase the Düsseldorf gastronomy scene's offerings.

For those interested, tables can be booked online. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore the city's culinary delights!

The Berlin Food Week, an annual event since 2014, brings together top chefs, restaurateurs, companies, journalists, bloggers, and food enthusiasts. It is hoped that the Düsseldorf Restaurant Week will follow in its footsteps, becoming a much-anticipated event in the city's calendar.
