Unveiled note, speculated to be from Trump, addressed to Epstein on his birthday
In a shocking revelation, a lewd letter allegedly sent by Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 has been published by a congressional panel. The letter, a type-written message inserted into the sketched outline of a nude woman, was one of many notes sent by Epstein's friends that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's associate, had compiled into a book for Epstein's 50th birthday.
The investigation into Epstein's sex crimes case, launched this summer by the U.S. House Oversight Committee, subpoenaed the book and other documents from Epstein's estate. The note accompanying the check reads, "Jeffrey showing early talents with money + women! Sells 'fully depreciated' [redacted name] to Donald Trump." The letter also includes a photo of Epstein holding an oversized $22,500 check with the signature "DJ Trump," but different from Trump's normal writing.
The Democrats on the panel published the copy of the Trump letter before the entire book was released. This move has sparked controversy, with Republican chairman James Comer accusing the panel of "cherry-picking documents and politicizing information." Trump, 79, filed a $10 billion defamation suit in response to the report.
The letter from businessman Joel Pashcow, mentioned in the book, references a woman who was courted by both Trump and Epstein in the 1990s. This is another instance where Trump is mentioned in the book.
It is not possible to determine the name of the businessman who allegedly wrote the salacious birthday letter to Trump in 2003 that became public in September 2021. Ghislaine Maxwell, currently imprisoned, is also implicated in the book.
The Wall Street Journal reported on the existence of the book and letter in July. The journal reported again on the letter's publication on September 8. The investigation into Epstein's case includes a probe into the handling of his case.
This development adds another layer to the ongoing saga surrounding Trump and Epstein. The public will continue to follow the investigation closely as more details emerge.
