Unveiling the Details of the Reported Larceny Scandal
On July 7, 2025, a 64-year-old man was robbed at the U-Bahn station Deutz/Messe in Cologne. The incident occurred on a Line 9 train around midnight, after the victim celebrated the Christopher Street Day (CSD) at Neumarkt.
According to the Cologne Police, the victim was engaged in conversation with two young men on the train. As they exited the train at Deutz/Messe station, one of the suspects demanded that the 64-year-old show his wallet under false pretenses. In the ensuing altercation, the other suspect snatched the victim's wallet while pushing him, causing the victim to fall and sustain minor injuries.
The Cologne Police are currently investigating the robbery, and have appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the suspects. Surveillance images from a camera on the Cologne Stadtbahn are being used as evidence in the investigation, and anyone who recognizes the individuals in these images is asked to contact Detective Inspector 14 at phone number 0221 229-0 or by email at [email protected].
