Upcoming BMW PGA Championship 2025 Golf Tournament: A Look at Betting Odds, Forecasts, and Strategies

The PGA Tour is currently at Wentworth for the DP World Tour schedule, as the BMW PGA Championship approaches. The event, set to take place from Thursday 11th September to Sunday 14th September at Wentworth Club, Virginia Water, Surrey, England, promises an exciting showdown.

In the BMW PGA Championship, Rory McIlroy is the favourite with odds of 6/1, according to the latest betting odds. McIlroy recently won the Irish Open in a playoff, adding to his impressive resume. Just behind him, Tommy Fleetwood and Jon Rahm have odds of 9/1 and 7/1, respectively.

Justin Rose, a former runner-up in the BMW PGA Championship, has also caught the eye. Rose has made the top 10 twice in the last six editions and currently stands at 20/1. His recent form is impressive, with a win at the St Jude Championship and a sixth in the Scottish Open on his last five worldwide starts. Rose is worth a bet at 4/1 with Betfred to make the top 10 at the BMW PGA Championship.

Patrick Reed has made the top five on all three of his Wentworth starts, while Shane Lowry, the 2022 BMW PGA Championship winner, has a remarkable record at the event, making the top 20 in 11 of the last 12 years. Lowry has odds of 22/1 for the upcoming tournament.

In the betting for The Open 2025, Rory McIlroy and Tyrrell Hatton lead the way with odds of 6/1 and 20/1, respectively. Jon Rahm follows closely behind with odds of 7/1. Justin Rose has odds of 4/1 with Betfred to finish in the Top 10 at The Open Championship. Other notable contenders include Shane Lowry at 25/1, Joaquin Niemann and Aaron Rai at 20/1, and Viktor Hovland at 18/1.

Interestingly, six of Luke Donald's Ryder Cup team are in the top half-dozen in the betting for the BMW PGA Championship. Full coverage of the event will be available on Sky Sports Golf.

Meanwhile, at Wentworth, Matt Wallace's finishes before last year were 57-MC-MC. However, Wallace finished runner-up in Switzerland last week and may experience a hangover this week. Dean Burmester, who won on the LIV Tour (Chicago) last month, has previously posted ninth and 12th at Wentworth. Burmester is backed at 20/21 with bet365 to outscore Matt Wallace in a 72-hole match bet for The Open Championship.

Billy Horschel is the defending champion of the BMW PGA Championship but is coming back from hip surgery, while Ludvig Aberg and Tommy Fleetwood also have odds of 16/1 and 9/1, respectively, for The Open 2025.

The 2025 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth will feature Team USA players, six of whom are confirmed Ryder Cup 2025 qualifiers, including Scottie Scheffler. However, a full roster specifically naming all USA participants in the event is not yet available.

As the excitement builds for both the BMW PGA Championship and The Open 2025, golf fans can look forward to a thrilling few weeks of top-class golf action.
