The motorcycling world is abuzz with the upcoming launch of the Triumph Thruxton 400, a cafe racer motorcycle that promises to blend the legacy of Triumph's classic cafe racers with modern technology. Set to be introduced on August 6, 2022, the Thruxton 400 is poised to offer a unique blend of retro aesthetics and modern convenience and safety features.

The Thruxton 400's design is reminiscent of classic cafe racers, with a small front "bikini" fairing, clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, a sharper fuel tank with inset Triumph logo, and a sporty compact seating position. Performance-wise, the motorcycle is expected to reach a top speed of around 160 km/h (100 mph). The India-specific model may feature locally sourced tyres such as MRF or Apollo instead of premium Pirelli Rosso tyres seen on international test models.
The expected ex-showroom price for the Thruxton 400 is roughly ₹2.80 lakh, positioning it as a premium 400cc offering within Triumph's lineup.
Meanwhile, Yezdi Motorcycles is also gearing up for the launch of an updated Roadster on August 12, along with a potential new Scrambler. Details on the new Roadster are scarce, but it is expected to pack a comprehensively reworked engine, improved build quality, new features, and more performance.
In the electric motorcycle segment, Oben Rorr EZ is set to be introduced on August 5, 2025.
