Updated ODI standings of ICC before England vs South Africa series

England and South Africa are all set to lock horns in a three-match ODI series, with the first encounter scheduled for September 2 at Headingley. This series promises to be an exciting one, as both teams strive to climb up the ICC men's ODI team rankings.

Currently, England are eighth in the rankings with a rating of 88, while South Africa find themselves in sixth place with a rating of 98. The home team, England, will be aiming to turn the tables on their opponents who defeated them in their last bilateral series in 2023, winning 2-1 at home.

South Africa's recent victory against Australia, where they won a 2-1 ODI series, will undoubtedly boost their confidence heading into this series. On the other hand, England last played an ODI in June, clean-sweeping West Indies 3-0 in the series.
