Municipal Election 2025: Important Dates and Voting Information
The municipal election in the city of Bergisch Gladbach is fast approaching, scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2025. Here's a breakdown of key dates, voting locations, and procedures to help you prepare.
Direct Voting at Zanders
If you prefer direct voting, you have until Friday, September 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM to cast your ballot at the Zanders location. The office is open from Monday to Saturday. The address for the Zanders direct voting office is: An der GohrsmΓΌhle 25, 51465 Bergisch Gladbach.
Polling Stations
On election day, voting is available from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at district polling stations. The voting office of the city of Bergisch Gladbach will also be open on election day, starting at 7:00 AM and remaining open until the completion of the counting process.
Mail-In Voting
You can request mail-in voting materials online until Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Bensberg and Refrath do not offer a direct voting office, but mail-in voting materials can still be requested and used. Unsent voting materials can be reported until Saturday before the election by calling 02202 - 14 2888.
Mail-in voting materials for a runoff election will be sent automatically if a cross was made on the mail-in voting materials for the runoff in advance. However, voting in the direct voting office or on runoff Sunday will not be possible for those who have already requested voting materials for the runoff with the main election.
Important Reminders
On election day, voters are required to bring their personal ID and signed voting notice to direct voting. Those who have already requested a voting permit cannot vote in their district on election day. A voting permit can still be issued until 3:00 PM on election day for suddenly ill persons.
Counting of Election Results
The counting of the election results will begin on September 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM. No preliminary results may be published beforehand. The results of the municipal election will be available on the homepage of the city's website.
