US Whistleblower Systems to be bolstered through acquisition of Hintbox by SAI360
In a strategic move to address the global increase in whistleblower legislation and the need for modern, mobile-first platforms, SAI360 has acquired Lawcode GmbH, the creators of Hintbox. The acquisition aims to modernize the U.S. hotline case management and reporting landscape.
Hintbox, a next-generation whistleblower hotline and case management platform, offers rapid deployment, multi-language support, anonymous two-way communication, and AI-enhanced workflows. It was specifically developed to meet stringent EU whistleblower laws and operates within a GDPR-compliant and ISO 27001-certified security framework.
Peter Granat, CEO of SAI360, emphasizes the focus on security and compliance in the Hintbox platform, which he believes will be a valuable addition to the U.S. market. The Hintbox platform is being brought to the U.S. market to address a need for a European standard of data privacy and protection.
Lawcode's modern compliance software and no-code rapid deployment approach will be introduced to the U.S. market through SAI360. Hintbox's successful expansion across the EU is expected to receive added value with Lawcode's addition to SAI360.
U.S. regulators like the SEC and DOJ are heightening expectations for accessible, anonymous reporting systems in sectors such as finance, healthcare, and technology. Most U.S. companies are still relying on hotline case management software tools that haven't evolved in decades. This acquisition allows SAI360 to introduce a modern, mobile-first platform.
Lawcode GmbH will continue to operate independently in Europe under the Hintbox and Lawcode brands. Edouard Didier, Managing Director at STG, which owns SAI360, is involved in the acquisition. Ubbo AΓmus, cofounder and CEO of Lawcode GmbH, sees this acquisition as supporting long-term growth for both SAI360 and Lawcode.
