The Office for Social Services of the Saarlouis district is hosting a unique event on July 5, 2025, in the Schatzgarten behind the administrative building of the Saarlouis district. Dubbed "Your Treasure in the Schatzgarten," this Secondhand Market aims to bring people together and send a signal of solidarity.

This outdoor event, running from 10 am to 4 pm, will offer a variety of items for sale, including clothing, books, accessories, and decorative items. The Schatzgarden, described as open, green, and inviting, promises to provide a unique atmosphere for this charitable market.

The Secondhand Market is an opportunity for interested participants to register for their stall via email at [email protected]. However, the number of stalls is limited, so those wishing to participate are encouraged to register early. Each stall will occupy a 3x3 meter space for a fee of 15 euros.

All proceeds from the Secondhand Market will go towards the 'Citizens in Need' relief fund, which supports residents of Saarlouis County who have unexpectedly found themselves in difficult circumstances. The relief fund prides itself on providing quick, unbureaucratic, and local support.

Director Christine Ney stated, "The Secondhand Market is not just about finding unique items or making a profit. It's about coming together as a community, supporting each other, and making a difference in the lives of those in need."

In addition to the various stalls, refreshments will be available at the market, including drinks, cocktails, coffee, and homemade cake. Visitors are invited to browse the stalls, enjoy the atmosphere, and support a worthy cause.

This is the first time the Schatzgarten is being used for a social event like the Secondhand Market. With each item at the market having its own story, charm, and potential to become a new favourite, it promises to be an event not to be missed.

The Secondhand Market continues to support the 'Citizens in Need' relief fund, making it an event that not only entertains but also contributes positively to the community. So, mark your calendars for July 5, 2025, and join in the spirit of solidarity at the Secondhand Market in the Schatzgarten.
