Oberlin College's OneCard (OCID) is an essential tool for registered students, active employees, affiliates, and retirees at the college. This multi-purpose ID card serves as a means of identification, grants access to college housing, dining halls, academic areas, and retail functionality.

Each OCID is unique and active only for its respective cardholder. No other individual is authorised to use the card for spending OBIE dollars, Flex Points, or Dining Meal Plan Swipes from the account. It's important to note that OCIDs are not active for any other individuals.

In the event of a lost or stolen OCID, immediate action is required. The cardholder is responsible for reporting the incident, and deactivation can be done via the Lost ID Card Information page at Manage Your Card, by contacting the Office of Campus Safety at 440-775-8444, or by visiting the ID Card Office in Mudd Center A055.

The ID Card Office is the place to replace a lost OCID. New students are issued OCIDs upon arrival at Oberlin College, and lost OCIDs can be replaced at the same location.

The college reserves the right to take repossession of an ID card at any time, and it also reserves the right to restrict an individual's use or possession of an ID card for non-compliance with terms and conditions. The penalty for violating the rules for the use and possession of the OCID card at Oberlin College can include disciplinary action by the college, which may involve warnings, loss of card privileges, fines, or other sanctions as determined by the college's policies.

It's essential to maintain a valid ID card in proper working condition, and the cardholder remains responsible for reporting a lost or stolen OCID. The college does not specify any consequences for not reporting a lost or stolen OCID, but it's crucial to do so to prevent unauthorised use and potential financial loss.

Lastly, it's worth mentioning that the ID card remains the property of Oberlin College, and only individuals who fall under the specified categories can use OCIDs. It's important to note that no one other than the cardholder or requested parents or guests should access the account associated with the ID card.

Oberlin College has a virtual and electronic ID card system, making it convenient for students, employees, affiliates, and retirees to manage their OCIDs. By understanding and adhering to these rules and regulations, the OCID can be a valuable asset during one's time at Oberlin College.
