Vacation Details: Center Parcs Elveden for a Week
The Smith family embarked on an unforgettable week-long holiday at Center Parcs Elveden, immersing themselves in a variety of activities and experiences.
Upon arrival, their lodge, located just a ten-minute walk from the heart of the park and close to the water park, was waiting for them. The spacious lodge boasted three bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and a backyard with a table and chairs, providing ample room for the family to unwind after a day of adventures.
One of Amelia's favourite activities was the visit from baby owls. Each family member had the opportunity to hold and stroke these beautiful creatures, making it a memorable experience for everyone. Amelia, in particular, was thrilled, as owls were her favourite.
The family also spent a significant amount of time at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. The main pool, complete with waves, a lazy river, cabanas, slides, and a lagoon, offered endless fun for the children. The rapids were a favourite among them, especially the rest area before the intense rapids. The swimming paradise also featured a locker room outside the swimming area, with plenty of lockers included in the price of their stay.
The children enjoyed the Aqua Jets, a free-to-swim area with jets, while the older members of the family tested their skills at indoor climbing and the high-speed Treetop Glider, ziplining through the treetops and above the lake. For those seeking a more tranquil experience, Center Parcs Elveden offers stunning forest walks, where the family spotted muntjacs, squirrels, ducks, and moorhens during their stay.
In between activities, the family indulged in delicious meals. They visited Pancake House, where they could choose between savory or sweet waffles, pancakes, or Dutch pancakes, and found the food to be fantastic. Huck's, an American-styled restaurant, offered TVs playing inside and slow service, but Kai enjoyed the atmosphere. The family also dined at Las Iguanas twice, ordering various dishes like burritos, calimari, fish, and nachos.
Amelia, Robin, and the assistant participated in a cupcake decorating class using fondant, while Kai and Dann took part in a long archery class in the forest, shooting at animal targets with real bows. The family even attended a pottery painting session, where most made new bowls and cups, including a giant shark by Kai.
Center Parcs Elveden caters to all ages, including teenagers. Activities such as the new Indoor Climbing Adventure with three light-up climbing walls and the Treetop Glider are designed for the older members of the family. During winter, the park transforms into Santa's Woodland Village, offering immersive festive experiences.
The family's week-long adventure at Center Parcs Elveden was filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments. They returned home with memories that will last a lifetime.
