Vaccine against the modified Coronavirus now accessible at Solinger Vaccination Centre
The Solingen Health Department has announced that COVID-19 vaccinations are now available at the Solingen Vaccination Centre, located at Mummstraße 25, 42651 Solingen.
Starting September 1, 2021, appointments can be made for the vaccination at the centre. The centre offers vaccinations on Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on the first Saturday of the month from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The vaccine "Comirnaty JN.1" is now available at the centre, offering improved protection against currently circulating viral variants. This vaccine can be used for both initial immunization and booster shots.
The STIKO, the German vaccination committee, recommends an annual booster shot for various groups, including those with pre-existing conditions, medical personnel, and individuals aged 60 and over. For those with mobility issues, a parking space for people with disabilities has been set up directly in front of the centre's entrance.
For those who prefer, walk-in vaccinations are also possible, but waiting times may apply. Nearby parking is available at the Clemens-Galeries.
For all questions regarding corona vaccinations or travel medical consultations and vaccinations, the centre can be reached by phone at 0212 / 290 - 2920 during opening hours. The STIKO suggests that the booster shot, when possible, should be administered in the fall.
The Solingen Vaccination Centre is located in the Health House at Mummstraße 25. Booking an appointment for vaccinations can be done at a specified website.
The centre encourages everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to protect themselves and their community against COVID-19.
