Vegan enthusiasts prepare for a colossal event in Berkeley: a grand Vegan Festival is on the horizon!

The Fifth Annual Bizerkeley Food Festival is set to return on Sunday, September 7, bringing together more than 80 vendors from across the U.S. and abroad for a day of vegan food, art, and community at the North Berkeley BART Station.

Hosted by local vegan entrepreneur Erika Hazel, also known as The Bizerkeley Vegan, the festival will feature a large marketplace with artisan crafts, fashion, wellness services, and festival merchandise. A dedicated Beer Garden & Wine Down Lounge will showcase Faction Brewing, Tessier Winery, and Traveling Bird House.

The weeklong celebration, known as the Bizerkeley Food Fest Week, kicks off on September 1 with a screening of the "They're Trying to Kill Us" documentary at Sports Basement in Berkeley, featuring Bad Ass Vegan. The week will continue with events across the East Bay, including a Vegan Mac & Cheese Tasting Competition at Travelin' Joe Espresso on September 4, a Plant Fare Fireside Chat Panel at The Butcher's Son on September 5, and a Vendor Pre-Order & Wristband Pick-Up at the North Berkeley BART Station on September 6.

On September 3, attendees can join the Stop Light Party Social Mixer at 51 & Tel in Oakland, where they can mingle with fellow food enthusiasts and festival organisers, including the Environmental Action Network, the Sustainable Agriculture Group, and the Local Farmers Association.

The festival's main event, the Main Festival Day, will take place on September 7 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the North Berkeley BART Station. This year's food headliners include El Compa Vegano and Fungi Foods, and attendees can expect samples and dishes from local and national vendors such as Cocobreeze Caribbean Restaurant, Donnas Tamales, Hodo Foods, and more.

Proceeds from the festival benefit California Pit Bull Rescue. Tickets and more information are available at bizerkeleyfoodfest.com or via Eventbrite. General Admission is free with RSVP, while Express Entry costs $20 and a VIP Pass costs $75.

Don't miss out on this exciting vegan food festival! Join Erika Hazel and the Bizerkeley Food Fest community for a day (or week) of delicious food, art, and community.
