Vehicle strikes deer in Poland, as reported by local law enforcement
In the quiet town of Zingst, on the L21 road between Prerow and the Meiningen Bridge, an unfortunate incident took place on September 6, 2025. A traffic accident involving a car, specifically an Opel, and a deer resulted in significant damage to the vehicle and the unfortunate demise of the deer.
The accident occurred around 20:20, with the Opel colliding with the deer that was crossing the road. The German occupants of the vehicle, aged 73 and 68, were unharmed in the incident. However, the Opel sustained significant damage, estimated at around 17,000 euros, and had to be towed away by a towing company. The deer involved in the accident did not survive.
The accident site was identified as the "Freesenbruch".
