In the early hours of this morning, the Hattingen Fire Department was called to an unusual incident on Nierenhofer Straße, near the Velbert city border. The operation began just before 3 a.m. and lasted for approximately 2 hours.

The incident site was handed over to the police following the completion of the operation. During the operation, a total of 25 rescue personnel were present, including two ambulances and one emergency doctor vehicle. The Hattingen Fire Department was on site with its full-time forces and the Mitte fire station.

The vehicle involved in the accident was several meters below the roadway, and the incident was an unusual one for the Hattingen Fire Department. The operation focused on ensuring fire protection and illuminating the incident site. A police helicopter provided aerial support during the operation.

Initially, the Velbert Fire Department handled the incident, but later it was handed over to the Hattingen Fire Department.
