VfB is welcoming two more experienced specialists.
VfB Stuttgart Bolsters Attack with Signing of Badredine Bouanani
VfB Stuttgart has strengthened its attack with the signing of Algerian footballer Badredine Bouanani. The 25-year-old joins the German club on a contract that lasts until 2030, following Nick Woltemade's departure to Newcastle United and Deniz Undav's potential serious knee injury.
Fabian Wohlgemuth, sporting director of VfB Stuttgart, highlighted Bouanani's versatility in attack and his international experience in European competitions. The transfer fee for Bouanani from his previous club is reported to be 20 million euros.
Bouanani expressed his delight at joining VfB Stuttgart, stating that he is impressed with the club and the Bundesliga. His arrival is set to provide additional options for VfB Stuttgart's attacking game.
In a separate development, VfB Stuttgart is reportedly close to signing South Korean striker Hyeon-gyu Oh from KRC Genk for around 20 million euros plus bonuses. Hyeon-gyu Oh's medical with the club is scheduled for Monday.
The signing of Bouanani is not related to Hyeon-gyu Oh or Bilal El Khannouss's upcoming moves to the club. According to Sky information, Bilal El Khannouss, who joined Leicester City on a season-long loan, is set to join VfB Stuttgart on loan with a purchase option that could become mandatory for 25 million euros.
The knee injury sustained by Deniz Undav against Borussia MΓΆnchengladbach played a significant role in VfB Stuttgart's decision to sign Badredine Bouanani. The club is now looking to strengthen its squad in the transfer market to ensure a successful season ahead.
Badredine Bouanani's signing marks the sixth summer signing for VfB Stuttgart. The footballer is reportedly happy to join the club and is looking forward to contributing to the team's success.
