German Talent Jarzinho Malanga Joins SV Elversberg on Loan

Young footballing prodigy Jarzinho Malanga, born and raised in Mannheim, has joined SV Elversberg on loan from VfB Stuttgart for the 2025/2026 season. The eighteen-year-old forward will play his home games at the Kaiserlinde.

Malanga's footballing journey began with SV Waldhof Mannheim and TSG Hoffenheim's youth teams before he joined VfB Stuttgart's youth academy. His impressive performances in the youth Bundesliga, where he played 43 games and contributed to 27 goals, caught the attention of many.

Ole Book, SV Elversberg's sporting director, is delighted with the signing. He believes Malanga brings qualities that can enrich Elversberg's offensive game. "Jarzinho is a versatile and talented player," said Book. "We are excited to see him develop further with us."

Malanga himself is optimistic about the upcoming season. He cites Elversberg's courageous and offensive style as a good fit for his playing style. "I'm looking forward to joining SV Elversberg and contributing to the team as best as I can," said Malanga. "I aim to take the next step in my career and continue to develop."

Malanga has had a successful international youth career, winning the U17 European Championship in 2023 and reaching the U19 semi-finals. He has also represented German youth national teams (U17 to U19) a total of 30 times.

Last season, Malanga was a regular starter for VfB Stuttgart's second team in the 3rd league, playing 30 games and contributing to six goals. He made his Champions League debut on November 6, 2024, against Atalanta Bergamo. His impressive performances earned him a loan move to SV Elversberg, a common step for young players like him who recently won the U17 European Championship.

As Malanga prepares to take the pitch at the Kaiserlinde, fans can expect a dynamic and skilled player who is eager to make his mark.
