VHS provides lessons in Rietberg, ranging from Aikido to ballet dance
The Volkshochschule (VHS) Reckenberg-Ems has unveiled an exciting new educational catalog for the upcoming fall-winter semester, brimming with a diverse range of events and courses in Rietberg.
For those seeking to immerse themselves in creativity, the VHS offers a variety of workshops including photography, drawing, painting, sewing, and decorating. These courses cater to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned artists.
For those who prefer to stay active, the VHS has a wide array of activities on offer. From aquafitness and music movement to yoga, qigong, mindfulness and meditation, pelvic floor training, women's swimming, Thai boxing, and Aikido, there's something for everyone.
The "German as a Second Language" department is also offering advice sessions on October 9, December 4, and January 22. However, the names of the teachers and the specific locations where these course offerings can be picked up in person are not yet disclosed.
Employees looking to improve their skills in resolving conflicts with children in a loving and respectful manner can enroll in these courses. These sessions are held every Thursday from 10 to 12 pm at the Sparkassen building in Rathausstraße.
The VHS will be hosting cooperative events with the consumer center on September 18, October 2, and 16 at the Sparkassen building. These events will focus on "Moisture and Mold", "Renovating for Heat Pumps", and "New Heating".
Literature enthusiasts will not be disappointed, as Dr. Rüdiger Krüger will be hosting literature events at the Kunsthaus Rietberg. The focus will be on Jean Paul on November 19 (200th anniversary of his death) and E.T.A. Hoffmann on January 21 (250th birthday).
The VHS orchestra Collegium Musicum will host a winter concert at St. Katharina's Church in Rietberg on February 1.
In addition, the VHS is offering new language courses for professional development in OGGS and kindergarten areas. A new Italian course for beginners starts on September 16 in Rietberg.
For the younger ones, classic ballet for children aged 4 to 6 will start on September 18. A new course called "Packing Suitcases - Adventure Retirement" has been introduced, led by instructor Simone Landwehr.
Interested parties can choose to register for the semester, starting on September 8, by calling 05242/9030900, personally at the VHS center in Stadthaus Wiedenbrück, or online at www.vhs-re.de.
The program is available for free pickup at many public distribution points and can also be found on the website. On January 9 and 10, a "Sewing is Fun" workshop for children aged 10 and up is scheduled, suitable for both beginners and children with sewing experience.
