Wiesbaden Phantoms Secure GFL2 Spot with Impressive Victory

The Wiesbaden Phantoms have secured their place in the German Football League 2 (GFL2) for another season, following a resounding 42-0 victory over the Fursty Razorbacks.

The Phantoms' offense was in top form, with Leon Amberg converting all extra points. Malthe Schmitt, who gained playing experience as a reserve, also contributed to the team's success.

The game was a challenging one for the Phantoms, who played without six key players but received valuable support from the U19 seniors. Alexander Werner scored a crucial touchdown in the final quarter, adding to the team's momentum.

The victory marks the highest season victory for the Phantoms. Steve Reimann, an O-Liner for the team, also celebrated a personal milestone, playing his 100th game.

Lenny Turturica and Justin Schmitt connected for a touchdown in the first two plays of the game, setting the tone for the Phantoms' dominant performance. Anton Goebel also scored his first touchdown for the team.

Looking ahead, the Phantoms' next games are against the Nuremberg Rams on August 23, and the Regensburg Phoenix on August 30. The Phantoms' U19 team is also in action, traveling to Fürstenfeldbruck on Saturday for a game against the Bavarians.
