Vigilante Event: "Securing the Residents of Budapest Street"
On Tuesday, 12th September 2023, a community action day focused on safety will take place in Budapester Straรe, Dresden. Organised by the city and housing company Vonovia, this event aims to promote a secure environment for all residents.
The action day will commence at 3 pm, with the meeting point being the courtyard of Budapester Straรe 43 to 51. Participants are not required to register in advance.
During the event, there will be tips on protecting against violence, as well as demonstrations by the police on safe and fair traffic participation. Intergenerational projects are also part of the plans for the area, with three interactive stations specifically designed for children and youth.
Participants are encouraged to photograph locations where they feel safe or unsafe as part of the day's activities. These images will help in identifying areas that require further attention and improvement.
It's worth noting that earlier this year, a large spring clean-up event took place in the same area. Events such as these are intended to further improve the neighbourhood and foster a sense of community.
Similar action days focused on various themes have been held in the past, with the aim of making Dresden a safer and cleaner city for everyone. This upcoming event in Budapester Straรe is another step towards achieving that goal.
For those interested in participating, the action day on the 12th of September promises to be an engaging and productive event. Whether you're a resident, a business owner, or simply a concerned citizen, your input is valuable in creating a safer and more secure community.
