Villagers observe Lindlar making his way through the settlement

Registration for the much-anticipated 14th edition of "Lindlar läuft" is now open, with staggered fees. The event, which was last held in 2019 with over 1,500 starters, will make a comeback after the pandemic-induced hiatus in 2020.

The municipal administrative head of Lindlar, the Lord Mayor, will act as the official representative and organizer for the event. Dr. Georg Ludwig, the Mayor of Lindlar, is also the patron of the event and has participated himself in the past.

The new registration centre for the event is the Serverinushaus, located next to the Catholic Church of St. Severin. Freya Schupp and Pia Heister of Lang AG have been preparing for a presentation on the Lindlar market square.

Carsten Ommer, chairman of the "Lindlar runs" association, welcomed the representatives of the main sponsors, Lang AG, Kreissparkasse Köln, Schmidt & Clemens, and ONI Wärmetrafo GmbH, for a group photo. Kindergartens and schools have agreed to participate again in this year's event.

The course remains unchanged, with runs for children, two kilometers, four kilometers, and ten kilometers. Trophies and cups will be awarded in 18 categories, with grauwacke medals for runners over four and ten kilometers.

The event start and finish will be on the market square in Lindlar. A presentation of the banner for "Lindlar runs" took place on the Lindlar market square. The group photo included Rafael Niedung from Kreissparkasse Köln, Tobias Lang from Lang AG, Lars Niemczewski from Schmidt & Clemens, Rüdiger Dzuban and Luisa Eichner from ONI Wärmetrafo GmbH.

Freya Schupp and Pia Heister of Lang AG presented details about the event during their presentation on the market square. Carsten Ommer, chairman of the "Lindlar runs" association, explained the revival of the event in his speech.
