Violence Erupts: Shooting Incident Leaves 4 Injured at Geddes' Lakeside Fire Hall During a Party

In a disturbing turn of events, a shooting incident occurred late on Friday night at the Lakeside Fire Department Recreation Hall in Geddes, NY. According to the Geddes Police Department, the incident was reported just past 11:30 p.m.

Initial reports suggested that five people were injured in the shooting, but later updates confirmed that four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Three people were initially reported to have been shot, with a fourth person later confirmed to have been injured.

The shooting was a result of ongoing disputes among people at the party. State Police troopers, who were leaving the fair, responded to the scene and helped with translating due to many witnesses and victims speaking Spanish.

State Fair Boulevard was shut down from Armstrong Road to Brantford Path for over two hours after the shooting. The Geddes Police Department has been contacted for clarification regarding the number of injured individuals, but as of now, no suspects are in custody.

The Geddes Police Department reported that several suspects involved in the shooting have been arrested. However, Lakeside Fire Chief Manny Falcone declined to comment on the incident.

This shooting incident is not the only one reported in Syracuse. Earlier reports stated that a 4-year-old girl died of an overdose, and the police are investigating. Also, a 19-year-old woman was shot in her leg.

InterFaith Works will honour retiring Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile at their annual celebration, which is another unrelated incident.

Onondaga County Sheriff's Office and Solvay Police were also dispatched to the shooting. Geddes police ask that anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 315-468-3283.
