Wartburg District Music School commemorates the "Year of the Voice" with a concert in Eisenach, scheduled for September 25.
On September 13, 2025, the Eisenach Art Pavilion will host a unique event titled "Year of the Voice." This special occasion, organised by singers from the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School in Wartburgkreis, aims to honour and celebrate the voice as the oldest and most universal musical instrument.
The event will kick off at 3 pm with a concert that transcends genres and age barriers. The concert will feature voices ranging from 0 to 100 years old, showcasing the versatility and universality of the human voice. The programme includes interactive elements such as guidance on yodeling, ensuring an engaging and educational experience for all attendees.
Following the concert, a music film titled "How About You" will be screened at 6 pm. This film explores the power of music, specifically the power of singing together. Admission for the screening is 5 euros. Reservations can be made via email at [email protected] or by phone at 03691 / 8190985.
The afternoon will also include a quiz and opportunities for conversations with experts and "voice enthusiasts." This provides an excellent chance to delve deeper into the topic and learn more about the voice's function, use, and care.
The "Year of the Voice" event is part of a larger celebration of the voice, emphasising its importance in human expression and connection. The voice is not just a carrier of sound; it connects us across cultural, linguistic, and geographical boundaries. As a social and musical instrument, it is a fundamental expression of our humanity.
So, mark your calendars for September 13, 2025, and join us at the Eisenach Art Pavilion, Wartburgallee 47, for a day dedicated to the celebration of the voice. Let's come together to appreciate this incredible instrument that has connected us throughout history and continues to do so today.
