The city of Neubrandenburg is set to undergo a significant modernization of its district heating network, with construction work scheduled to begin on Clara-Zetkin Street. This renovation measure, aimed at making the district heating supply more reliable and efficient in the long term, will involve the connection of a 185-meter-long main supply line and a conversion station in Clara-Zetkin Street.

The press release regarding the supply interruption and street closure was issued by the Neubrandenburg city utilities. According to the statement, the district heating supply in Neubrandenburg South City will be interrupted from September 16 to approximately September 18. During this period, the supply of hot water and room heating will not be available in the affected streets, which include Clara-Zetkin Street, adjacent streets, and the Bath Road.

Residents in the affected areas will be informed through notices about the closure and the interruption of services. For the convenience of those living on Bath Road and the care facility located there, a substitute supply of hot water will be provided.

Clara-Zetkin Street will be fully closed in the area of the kindergarten access due to the construction work. An adjacent resident parking lot in the area of Clara-Zetkin Street 15 a-d is also affected. The city utilities spokesperson, Steffi Schwabbauer, assures that the supply of cold drinking water is secured.

The energy supply company involved in the modernization of the Neubrandenburg district heating network and carrying out the work on Clara-Zetkin Street is E.DIS. The Neubrandenburg city utilities ask for understanding for "the necessary measures."

As part of the modernization of the Neubrandenburg district heating network, newly laid pipelines will be connected to the existing network in Clara-Zetkin Street. The construction work is expected to contribute significantly to the long-term reliability and efficiency of the district heating supply in the city.
