In the heart of Yakutsk, a significant transformation is underway as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". One of the key objects in this renovation is Chaikina Street, named after Valentina Chaikina, a Soviet partisan and Hero of the Soviet Union, who made remarkable contributions during World War II.

The 500-meter stretch from Chernyshevsky Street to Krupaskaya Street is currently being repaired by the contractor LLC "Tulaysyn". The project, overseen by the municipal customer MUK "Glavstroy" of Yakutsk, includes the laying of a bottom layer of asphalt, as well as work on water drainage pipes, the relocation of gas and heat supply networks, and the installation of water drainage channels. These improvements aim to enhance the overall infrastructure of Yakutsk.

The national project "Infrastructure for Life" extends beyond Yakutsk, with plans to repair 11 objects of the road network in the city in 2025. This initiative is part of a larger endeavour to improve infrastructure across Russia.

Lisa Chaikina, the namesake of the street, was born on August 28, 1918, in the village of Runo, Penovsky District, Tver Region. Her life was marked by bravery and service, as she fought in a partisan detachment in the territory of Kalinin (now Tver) Oblast from October 14, 1941, until her death. Her date of death is not specified in the provided information.

For her exceptional service, Lisa Chaikina was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on March 6, 1942. This prestigious honour recognises her significant contributions to the resistance during World War II.

The naming of Chaikina Street in Yakutsk serves as a lasting tribute to this remarkable woman, honouring her bravery and sacrifices. As the renovation of the street continues, it serves as a reminder of the legacy of Lisa Chaikina and the impact she had on the course of history.
