Week-long Charity Running Event Kicks Off in Latvia Under the Name High Five Marathon

In the heart of Riga, the capital city of Latvia, a charitable event named "High Five!" is set to take place from December 13 to 19 at the glass studio in Doma Square. This event, organised by the charity organisation Ziedot.lv, aims to provide a safety cushion or quick help in situations where immediate treatment is needed but is not covered by public funds.

RuΜ„ta Dimanta, the head of Ziedot.lv, invites everyone to donate and contribute to this worthy cause. Donations can be made on the charity organisation's website, www.ziedot.lv, by selecting the project "Give Five!", until the Epiphany on January 6, 2025.

For those who prefer to donate in person, from November 20 to December 19, donations can be made on the charity marathon's website, https://dod.pieci.lv/, and exchanged for favourite songs on Latvian Radio 5 via electronic payment. Additionally, from November 20 until January 4, 2025, donations can be made at Narvesen stores across Latvia, at special donation boxes, and by making a donation with a bank card to support "Give Five!".

The broadcast of the charity marathon "High Five!" will take place live from December 13 to 19, giving everyone a chance to witness the event and contribute to the cause. The charity marathon website also features songs selected for donations from the charity marathon.

So, whether you're in Riga or elsewhere in Latvia, or even if you're donating online, you can be a part of "High Five!" and help make a difference in the lives of those in need. Let's come together and make this charity marathon a success!
